Sparta Aero Services, Inc., located at the Sparta Community Airport (KSAR) in Sparta, IL, was founded in 1988 by four businessmen: Marvin Campbell, Dean Campbell, Steve Keith and Roy Heil. The first 25 years were filled with growth & constant change while building a solid reputation for customer service. Ultimately, Marvin Campbell solely owned the business, and in 2013, with ‘retirement’ in sight, transferred the opportunity to Scott Marquardt.

With the help of staff, customers, friends, and mentors, Sparta Aero has grown into it’s FBO shoes, as a formidable part 61 flight school, full-service aircraft maintenance facility, aircraft and airport management corporation, and sometimes described as a ‘General Aviation Gem’.
